On an iPhone, check Settings, Battery, Battery Health. Under 80 percent maximum capacity means it is time. On any phone, sudden shutdowns, fast drain, or heat while charging are the signs. We check it for free.

Is my battery swollen? What should I do?
If the screen is lifting or the back is bulging, the battery is swollen. Stop charging it, do not press on it, and bring it in. We remove it safely and replace it.
